To be eligible for the 5Rivers Scholarship Program, an applicant must be a believer of the Sikh religion, a U.S. citizen or person that has the requisite legal status for living in or attending school in the U.S., and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5.
To be considered as a grant recipient of the 5Rivers Scholarship Program, a student must meet the following criteria:
Personal motivation and desire to attend and graduate from an institution of higher learning
Character and potential for achievement
Application for or receipt of scholarships from other sources
Awards under the Programs are not renewable. However, students are permitted to reapply for an award under the 5Rivers Scholarship Program in consecutive years. Upon reapplying, students' applications will be judged based on the selection criteria presented above. Receipt of a 5Rivers Scholarship Program award in a prior year is a selection criterion that weighs in favor of the student receiving future awards.
